Annual Spring (May) event, generally held on the first day of May.
Amherst Rotary Auction
The annual auction is both on-air on Amherst cable TV and on-line on the club website. A fun way to patronize local businesses, get bargains for the holidays, and support local charitable organizations.
Annual Holiday Giving Party:
Each year the Amherst Rotary Club gets a list of
needy, at-risk children from the Family Outreach of
Amherst and their holiday gift wishes. These wish
lists are distributed to members of the Amherst Rotary
Club, who fill them (at their own expense). In early
December we have a party with the families from Family
Outreach and Santa magically arrives with the toys
from the children’s wish lists. In addition, the party would not be possible without the generosity of UMass,
UMass Food Service and the PVTA.
The members of the Amherst Rotary Club are a fortunate
group, and through the Annual Holiday Giving Party,
we are able to make the holiday season brighter for
some of our neighbors.
Annually, early in September
COVAC is a benefit bicycle ride offering four routes of 100, 75, 50 or 25 miles. The rides are relatively flat and follows rolling terrain on the West bank of the Connecticut River to Brattleboro, VT, crosses into New Hampshire and returns following the East bank of the Connecticut River
through picturesque farmland and passes a waterfall before heading back to Hatfield. Click for more information about the event. |
